Boys Meet Santa together for the first time.

My kids didn't scream for Santa this year. SUPER proud Mama, here. In fact, Nash asked to see him. So, even though he looked like a Hip Hop mogule, I went along with it knowing damn well (once I dressed him all up appropriately) he'd flip out on another attempt. this is me working on trying to be more flexible.

...and what would be a post without a little Knox love...

Thanksgiving at Casa Nana

All gathered together for a calm Thanksgiving at my parents' house. Calm. BWHAHAHAHHAHAHAH

Thanks to Chrissi's pup, Lucy, we spent the better part of an hour all split up searching the area for a sweet, chocolate lab. The positive part of it all, is that it helped us refocus us all on the purpose of Thanksgiving; to recognize what we are thankful for. And let me tell you -- we were sure thankful we found her safe and sound.... playing with the donkey. ;p

Sorry there aren't more pictures of the day. Really, losing Lucy took it all out of us and how many pictures of us day drinking would you really want to see???

Nashy helps Nana, Papa make Great-Great Grandma's apple pie :)

We really did have a wonderful Thanksgiving with lots to be thankful for.... we are blessed.

Monkey's Holiday Update

What can I say about Knox? The only little nuance this child has is that he cries in his carseat.  He LOATHES riding in his carseat. Other than that, he is chunky, he's happy, he sleeps, he lays around, he eats, etc.

A quick little shout out to God there on that one. ---THANK YOU-----------

He's super lazy. He'll get almost all the way over to roll over and then decide he's over it. He's just begun working on sitting up. He'll "tri-pod" for a few minutes and then slump over. He's over that too. He loves tummy time and can spend the better part of 20 mins slobbering up his play mat as he inches toward the nearest toy. I can't keep him full. He's eating 1.5 pouches/jars of baby food + upwards of 5 oz of formula at the same time. That's not counting the 6-7oz of formula is drinking intermittently. Works for me.

Look who's trying to crawl. Totally hilarious to me because Nash never crawled; wasn't interested in it at all. This explains why I have to still go up in the middle of the night to scoot him down in his crib.  He's a tummy sleeper than ends up pushed up against the end of the crib every, single, night.

He also met the Christmas tree for the first time:

At the end of the day, this is the love I'm enjoying.  He's a total little love bug. <3
Love this kid.

Merry Christmas!!

Swinging around to the Holidays... Nashy update

It is utterly insane that Christmas is 20 days away. HOW did 2011 speed by so fast? Oh yeah, I was pregnant and raising a toddler and a pre-teen. Silly me. :)

Well, as we've left November behind (and another birthday on Mommy's part -- birthdays in your 30s can be so daunting), I'm beginning to fill with excitement at the prospect of seeing Nash's face on Christmas morning. CAN'T WAIT!

Anyway.... As you know we are house hunting. Looking to stay in the metroplex, we've entertained the idea of Colleyville, Southlake, Trophy Club and Frisco. Not having had an offer on the house, it's been more about seeing what's available rather than actually picking a new home. Anyone want a great house in Coppell??? ;p
A few times we've had to drag the boys along for the ride.
Glad someone has kept the humor in tact through it all:

Below (left), Nash is r-e-a-d-y to go to Nana and Papa's. I swear, I can't get that kid to put his school backpack on, but say we are going to his Grandparents' and he's alllllll over it.
Below (right), I made a shopping trip pre-Ty's Christmas work party and ran across those "presh" boots that he had to have at H&M. Walked around like he couldn't bend his ankles. It was hilarious.

He's become a real character at almost 3 years old. Ty taught him this song, which he's become really good at inserting every family member's name into the lyrics (Make sure you turn your volume):

This is only funny at the beginning, but you'll think I'm awful at the end when he falls and bumps his head. But, in true Nashy form, he pops back up (that part you don't see). But, I just can't get over those skinny little legs. I had to share. Mommies... you will cringe. Don't worry... the scream is loud because 1) we are in Knox's room with low ceilings, 2) my crappy iphone video camera is as good as it gets as far as a video camera and 3) there was no blood, no bruise, no stitches, no cut. I think he was more scared than anything.

Brace yourself.

He's a crazy guy -- no doubt. He's climbing all over everything!!! yikes!!

Okay... I'll wrap it all up at the end. Knox update, up next.
XOXO
